321 Night at the Holme Valley Lodge
On August the 17th HVL held a special 3-2-1 meeting to celebrate 300 years of Freemasonry in England, 200 years of Freemasonry in West Yorkshire and 100 years of using the current Lodge premises. The well attended audience were given a short informative talk by WBro. Mike Coupland, on the beginnings of The United Grand Lodge of England and how it came into being back in the 18th century. This was followed by an equally amusing talk on how the Province of Yorkshire West Riding was formed, this time given by WBro. Brian Colwill. The evening was rounded off by a fascinating history of the current lodge premises by the Lodge historian WBro. Peter Berry.
