In February 2021, The Holme Valley Lodge successfully applied to the Provincial Grand Master’s Charity fund to award a grant of £2,500 to buy much needed equipment for The Holme Valley Mountain Rescue Team (https://www.holmevalleymrt.org.uk/).
The HVMRT is run entirely by volunteers who turn out in all weathers to help walkers and climbers who are experiencing difficulties. They are regularly called out to assist other rescue services and the police. The Holme Valley Masonic Lodge are only too pleased to help them continue their valuable work in the local community with this grant.
