August’s Lodge night was a special occasion for cousins Ashley and Ian Craven. In front of more than 50 masons, W. Bro. Ashley Craven took over the Chair of King Solomon for the evening from W. Bro. David Dickens, enabling him to initiate his cousin Ian into Holme Valley Lodge. During the ceremony, a ballot was also held for two further prospective candidates, both of whom were approved.

The festive board was attended by 48 masons, including 21 guests and the Lodge Liaison Officer. A raffle held during the evening raised £270 for the 2028 Festival. Members and guests were also entertained by Mason, a regular performer at the Lodge.

In September, we will do it all again when the Lodge performs another initiation.
